De Commissarissenkamer, gelegen op de eerste verdieping, is uitgevoerd in Neogrec-stijl. Een stijl die zich, evenals de Lodewijk XVI-stijl, kenmerkt door een sobere vormgeving. 

Omstreeks 1930 heeft de ruimte haar huidige bestemming als Commissarissenkamer gekregen. Dat wil zeggen dat het College van Bestuur van de Sociëteit in deze ruimte haar maandelijkse plenaire vergadering belegde.
