About
Woerden is a true cheese city. De Ruijszaal is named after Egbert Ruijs, the founder of ERU, renowned for the ERU gold tub processed cheese. In 1984, he took the initiative to renovate the 600-year-old Kasteel Woerden. A substantial part of the renovation of this national monument was funded by him. The room is playfully decorated with a nod to cheese making and trading.
De Ruijszaal is located on the 6th floor and is accessible by elevator. For large groups, we have two entrances to ensure smooth flow. De Ruijszaal can accommodate up to 165 people in a theater setup and has its own restroom facilities, kitchen, cloakroom, and stage.
De Ruijszaal is exceptionally well-suited for conferences, seminars, product presentations, and various business gatherings. Of course, options for a reception or dinner are also available.
